Suggest Treatment For Pain Due To Seizure

My 80 year old friend was found laying on the floor, in a coma Monday morning. She is in ICU at out hospital. Still in a coma. They think she is having seizure, and is pain. She is diabetic, Blood pressure,, ect I am concerned, very concerned. Thank you for any information u have. Sharon

I am sorry to hear about your friend. Probably she has suffered a cerebrovascular accident or stroke which might also have caused a seizure or could have landed her in coma. I have doubts on the justification of thinking that she is in pain. It can be that increased heart rate is making them think that she is in distress. If they really think that she is in pain, they would surely be administering certain medications like fentanyl by slow intravenous infusion so that she gets relief.
