Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ribs Caused By An Injury

Fell getting out of tub and hit my left breast/rib area on the edge of the tub. If I put my left hand on the bottom area of my left breast and top of my ribcage, I have a 6 out of 10 on a pain scale. Can it be serious, or will the pain go away on it's own? Coughing is out of the question :))

Hi .

Since you have lot of pain and tenderness..

I suggest you to kindly go get an x-ray done for your chest go rule out any rib fracture...
This is done to rule out any complications that might arise later...Don't worry untill it is confirmed..

I also suggest you to do icing frequently on the tender area..
keep it supported with a sports tape..if possible..
You can have Anti inflammatory medicines to keep your Pain under control with gp advise..

Hope this information is helpful..
Revert back in case if you need any further clarifications..
