Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
It seems that your brother has gone through a serious damage of the spine, which has lead to leg paralysis.
Unfortunately there is not too much to be done in this clinical situation. Besides immobilization for some time, in order to avoid further damage to the spine, there is not much to be done.
A long period of physiotherapy after discharge will be needed to gain function on his lower limbs. But we can not determine the grade or recovery. Sometimes paralysis may persist.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes, Dr. Aida
