Suggest Treatment For Periostitis

Our veterinarian recommended your site. Our Sheltie has periostitus in his front paw. We have tried many treatments....soak in Epsom salts and Betadine, DMSO, many antibiotics and nothing seems to work for any length of time. I was very happy when our doctor offered a whole health regiman no. How does this disease get started? Help us please.

it can start with either direct trauma or hematogenous spread of infection. it is progressive in nature if left untreated. continue antibiotics as per dosage. usually infection subsides.
