Suggest Treatment For Purplish Bruising And Pain On Leg

Yes, I was healing my right foot from a blister on top near the 3 middles toes, since 12/2011, when I took a fall on my right leg on 2/4/2012 & had a big bump & bruise. Now I have internal bleeding going down towards my foot as indicated by purplish bruising & my skin is very tight & hurts. My primary said it is not infected & I finished my antibiotic (Levofloxicin) already for the blister part of it. He said to just elevate it & I didn t need compresses. It is hurting me & my skin is tight.....can t I use warm compresses to relieve it?

Hello,

No, should not use warm compresses on the bruising part as it will make the bleeding worse.

Should keep elevated as advised by your doctor.

Apply heparin gel to disperse the blood (the bruising part).

All the best.
