hi my son has a horrible cough that has been on going for 4 wks now i have tried childrens delsym and pediacare and musinex all childrens meds of coarse 2 wks ago he saw the pediatrion they said his lungs were clear but would not give him anything he wakes up in the middle of the night gagging and choking

As per your history your son may be suffering from Whooping cough.
Erythromycin is the drug of choice.
Ambrodyl-S cough syrup reduces the severity of cough.
