Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In Ankle Bone

Broke 5th metatarsal 1 week ago, in aircast, ankle bone gets sharp stabbing pain intermittently, but often enough so I can t sleep. Feels like some one is stabbing me with needle, then stops, until it happens again. Nurse looked at foot this afternoon, but all looks normal. Taking ibuprofen, eases ache, but not stabbing pain.

Hello,Thanks for your query.After going through your query I came to know that you broke 5th metatarsal 1 week ago, in aircast, ankle bone gets sharp stabbing pain intermittently, but often enough so you can't sleep. You feels like some one is stabbing you with needle, then stops, until it happens again. Nurse looked at foot this afternoon, but all looks normal. Taking ibuprofen, eases ache, but not stabbing pain.I think at one of place of cast there is pressure casing this type of pain .So it needs cast removal so that plaster sore does not develop over it.
