Suggest Treatments For Sharp Shooting Pain At The Outer Left Foot

Somehow injured my foot a couple of weeks ago. It was getting much better but today I stepped down on a sharp rock and shooting pain was felt. The pain is on the outside and top of left foot. Now I can hardly walk. If a stress fracture, how should I treat it tonight and what would be the likely treatment for it?
