Swallowed Some Face Moisturizer. How Poisonous Are Face Moisturizer For A 2 Year Old Baby ?

My baby is experiencing such a bad diarrhea episode that her skin is all rashed up and even wounded/ looks like skinned flesh . It hurts so bad that she cries even when touched by water. After seeing doctors without urine test (cos we couldnt get enough sample then) Dr put her up for antibiotics , prebiotics, etc. But i just found out that my mother in law was hiding the fact that she swallowed some face moisturiser!! Im pretty sure that the Dr wouldve needed to know about this! What should i do now? How poisonous are face moisturisers for a 2 year old baby? Help!

Dont hide anything from doctor.Tell him the truth may be this is all because of the moisturiser, it helps doctor to rule out the cause and helps in treatment.

Hi
If your baby swallowed a liquid moisturizer, her loose motions could be attributed to that or may be she is having an infection. If she is still having this problem, you should get stool tested -Routine,ph,R/S and culture. In the meanwhile give her plenty of ORS, curd,rice and banana.You may buy a Zinc syrup (Zincris/Zinconia) from a chemist and give her 1 teaspoon once a day till you get the stool test reports. Continue with Zinc for 2 weeks. Consult a Child specialist if there is any thing wrong in the stool test report.
