Swelling And Intense Pain Around The Left Cheekbone With Recurring Headache For A Child

A child slammed the back of their head into my left cheekbone two days ago. Since then I've had swelling and intense pain around the area, as well as a recurring headache. The vision in my left eye also is a little out of focus. I applied ice immediately after the incident, and twice since. Should I continue icing? At what point should I start to feel relief,, before seeking medical attention? Thank you so much.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It looks to me that you may have injured your cheek bone and a fracture is also a possibility. I would recommend you to get an x ray of your cheek bone. Also as you are saying your vision is also not seems to be normal you need to show it to eye specialist. My suggestion try to do it fast. As cheek bone fracture unites very fast in wrong position.
