Swollen And Achy Elbow That Is Bruised After Hard Fall On Snow
Three days ago I hit my elbow hard on the snow falling down while snowboarding. It was swollen and achy. I iced it when I got home and took some Advil. The next day the swelling went down but my forearm and a little bit of my upper arm started to bruise. There was very little pain and I have full range of motion without any pain. On the third day I had a huge black and blue mostly on my forearm and it feels pretty normal except for a slight ache on the actual impact spot. The giant bruise is a little scary but otherwise I feel fine. Should I have this looked at?
I have studied your case and i would suggest you to get x ray of elbow to make sure that there is no fracture. yes i agree with you that pain has decreased and so is swelling but still we are not sure what has happened inside. Other thing is some time ligament damage and soft tissue injury also causes severe pain. So at present my advice to you is to get X ray.till than do not do any massage or rubbing.
