Taking Imuran, Pregnazone And Trazadone. Very Irritable And Have Anxiety. Could I Take Imuran And Trazadone?

im taking Imuran 100 mg pregnazone 10 mg trazadone 25mg im very irritable and have anxiety again to the point that I don't want to be bymyself again none of this started until I started trazadone to sleep and went from 50 mg Imuran to 100 mg around the same time will this go away or should I not be on these together im 47 yrs and on other meds too

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Firstly, your dose of trazodone appears to be grossly inadequate, because of which you have symptoms of anxiety/irritability.

Increase the dose GRADUALLY to 25mg TWICE daily for a week; thereafter, increase it to 25mg THRICE daily.

Depending on the response, the dose of trazodone may have to be increased further, if the need arises.

CONTINUE with Imuran and Pregnazone as before.


Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he agree with me, and will prescribe suitable dose of Trazodone gradually, under close supervision, as advised.
