USG Shows Low Lying Placenta. Abdominal Heaviness. Have Sub Chorionic Hemorrhage. How Long To Take Rest?
my usg report at week 17 shows low lying placenta- lower margin of placenta 2 cm from the os. placental maturity grade I. now into my 19th week, experiencing heaviness in abdomen especially when i get up from the bed or chair. my office sittings are long. should i be taking rest. will i be harming the baby and myself if i work for long hours which involves long sitting, climbing stairs(office on first floor) and fair bit of walking sometimes. i have Sub chorionic haemorrhage(around 2 cm) as well. pl advise.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Sometimes the placenta will move upwards with progression of the pregnancy which is called migration of the placenta. But presently as it is low lying and also as you are having chorionic hematoma, better to take rest. Sudden painless bleeding is possible in cases of low lying placenta. So better to be careful and apply leave till it move upwards and continue the pregnancy under supervision of your doctor.
