Ultrasound Shows Enlarged Uterus. Late Period. Earlier Had Tubes Clamped. Due To Fibroids?

Hi my results from my ultrasound are uterus is enlarged 11.8 cm in length by 4.8 by 5 cm. The endometrial thickness is 9mm. Hypoechoic fibroid posteriorly measuring 2.6 by 1.9 cm. Right ovaryis not visualized. Left ovary is normal in size and contains a simple cyst 2.2 cm. At time of ultasound I was almost 6 weeks late for my period. It was due July 12. My tubes were clamped in 2002. Is this all from fibroid?

Hi,
Fibroid does not cause a delayed period. It could be ovarian as a cyst is evidenced in the ovary. You should however exclude pregnancy by performing a blood test. If pregnancy has been excluded, you may take hormones for initiating withdrawal bleeding as it happens once-in-a-while in an other wise regular menstrual pattern, that hormonal distortion appears. Please contact your consultant for further management. Take care.
