Hello,

I have gone through your mother's ultrasound report. Everything is normal except for mild hepatomegaly with moderate fatty changes and the endometrial thickness with high echo.

Actually why she had to get the scan done? You didn't mention the about her symptoms.

Mild hepatomegaly and fatty changes are seen in obese and alcoholic patients. If the Liver function tests are within normal limits, then no need to worry about this.

You didn't mention your mother's age and regarding her menstrual history. But after going through the scan report, i think she had attained menopause. Her endometrium is 7.1 mm in thickness and has high echo. We need to rule out endometrial pathology mainly endometrial cancer. For this we need to do Dilatation and curettage and get the endometrium for histopathological examination (HPE). If the HPE report is normal then no need to worry about anything.

My advice is to consult a gynecologist with the scan report and take her advice regarding the endometrial thickness.

Good luck.

Hello hssn.pr , as per the report your mother have a milder enlarged liver with deposition of fat through out the liver. Her gall bladder has been operated so didnot see it. Other organs in the upper abdomen appears normal. She has attained menopause so her ovaries are too small to measure however her uterus appears large for her age as the history claims your mother has attained menopause. Endometrium lining appears bright or has a high echo which could be a normal variant in absence of collection in cul de sac or burning urination or else it may suggests pelvic inflammatory disease. And very very rarely endometrial carcinoma , how ever clinical scenario would be different and patient should present withblood stained discharge with or without lower abdominal pain. You have not given details of why she underwent a sonogram in the first place. Please consult with a gynecologist and get your mother's symptoms evaluated. Hope my answer will be of benefits to you. Take care

Hi

Welcome to hcm.
This is nearly a normal scan except hepatomegaly.
If the live enzymes are normal, there should be nothing to worry about.

Regards
