Vaginal Itching, Inflamed External Vagina, Green Non-smelling Discharge. Suggest Treatment

Just gonna be blunt, have sore vagina! Treated for thrush, bacterial vaginosis, had various creams and definitely not an STI? Been to gum clinic on and off for past five years, but symptons unbearable now. These include vaginal itching, sore red and inflamed vagina externally, splitting skin, swollen constantly, green thick and very sticky discharge with NO SMELL. I'm can't live like this I'm constantly stuck to my knickers and no one has any answers or any treatment that helps, can you suggest anything??????

Hello ma'am and welcome.

An STD cannot be ruled out until an 8-STD panel is conducted. Please request for the same; but based on the symptoms your condition resembles either bacterial vaginosis (which you have already been treated for) and trichomoniasis (which has not been considered so far).

Either way, I would recommend some simple tests which should help find the exact infection-causing organism and accordingly also give a report on the most suitable medication that can be used to rapidly and effectively treat your condition.

They are:
-Urine culture and senaitivity examination
-Vaginal swab culture
-Culture of the vaginal discharge

Also remember to abstain from all forms of sexual contact till at least 7 days after the last dose of therapy.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
