What Are The Future Effects Of Convulsions In Infancy?

Hi My grand daugther was born 6 month ago she has starts convulsing two days after birthday and was rushed to the hospital. Doctor a month ago noticed that her head is relatively small. The preliminary tests and MRI reveals a congenital atrophy. She moves correctly she eats normaly and is gaining weight. I am very worried and dont know what to expect in the future. How likely is she to become epileptic or to develop mental problems. what about treatment?

greetings,
congential cerebral atrophy has varied symptoms.no one can predict the future, though you should always concentrate on the present because if it is good than likely hood of the future to be good also increases.
so i would say that its better that more stimulation through activity is given to the child.
that should help her.
hope this has helped.
thanks and regards.
home this has helped.
