What Are The Reasons For Having Longer And Darker Periods?

My menstrual period is very dark and thick. It wasn't always like this. It used to be red with a nice flow. It seems like it's just old blood every month now and it also last 7-9 days. This has been going on for about 8 months now and I am very concerned. I want to have another child. Please help me.

Hi,

This bleeding seems to be due to certain small changes in endometrium. This is due to hormonal changes. Please visit your gynecologist after an ultrasound and request them to rule out a condition called dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
