What Are The Reasons For Having Numbness Between Big Toe And Second Toe?
I am experiencing numbness between my big toe and second toe (top of ball of foot) on my left foot only. No pain, just no feeling, no bug bite, no frost bite, no diabetes. Blood test returned, only thing doctor noted was iron deficiency. This just started today. Massaged, no change.
Hi, As your condition is sudden in onset then it could be due to deep peroneal neuritis as deep peroneal nerve runs over top of foot and give supply to the space between 1st and 2nd toe and excessive pressure/ any type of injury may lead to numbness, extension weakness and/ foot drop. Vitamin B12 deficiency could be a cause of this type of numbness. So consult to a neurologist and give detailed history. Doctor will prescribe you to undergo nerve conduction test , serum B12 level. Use such type of shoes which eliminate all type of pressure on the top of feet, ice application twice a day. Get well soon, bye.
