What Are The Side Effects Of Melanocyl Tablets?

I am suffering from Vitiligo. I am using Melanocyl tablets with sun exposure in two hours following taking these tablets (2 at a time) and exposure of affected area to sunlight in two hours. There is some improvement, but I am told by friends this has side effect like may affect my liver . Please explain

Hello,

I understand your concern. An absolute contraindication for this drug is pregnancy and lactation. For other people taking it, the most common side effects are itchy, dry and red skin, nausea and dizziness and sometimes vision and mood changes. There are no known adverse effects concerning the liver.
If these side effects persist and or worsen, please see a doctor as soon as possible.
