Some day Back I had a forced anal sex by a lady. After 3-4 days, I got burning on my penis. It was very severe. I visited the doctor & was administrated with antibiotics. Now it is ok. But still some times it starts burning. I am feeling weakness also. I don t have other problems i.eloss of weight, vomiting, skin rash, dry cough etc. The doctor advised me to get tested for STD & HIV. I m scared I have hot HIV. Please advise.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Unprotected sex, whether anal or vaginal, is a risk factor for all STD's like genital herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, genital warts, genital molluscum contagiosum. Therefore, I would suggest a comprehensive screening for all STD's apart from just HIV. Testing for Herpes simplex virus (HSV) can be earliest at 2 weeks; screening for HIV and VDRL initially at 1 month and then repeat testing at 3 months is required. Moreover, if you ever notice genital growths or erosions or ulcers, you must immediately see a skin specialist.
