What Are The Symptoms Of Sinus Duct Infection For A Child?

My ten year old son for the last two weeks has had what appeared to be a red, irritated area behind his ear. It would scab over and was tender to touch. Also it appeared to weeping . We took him to a family clinic yesterday where they gave him antibiotics and said it was a result of an infection in a sinus duct? I can t seem to find any information on this, as I would like to know more. He also suffers from halitosis and I m beginning to wonder if all this is linked somehow.

Hi, there is no such thing as sinus duct infection, probably your doctor wanted to say sinus tract infection. This appears to be a infection of skin around ear region. In my opinion, if you have been given antibiotics, it will get cured in 3 days. I hope this has helped you. Wishing your child good health. Take care.
