Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I stretch out my right pec, lift my right arm sideways and past 90 degrees, there's an intense pain in my right pec that radiates along the sternum and goes away after I either complete the movement or hold the position. Also, there seems to be a weird dent along the entire length of my entire right pec when I raise my arm and flex my biceps, in between the third and second rib all the way to my shoulder, that seems to just have nothing under the skin. I am still able to lift weights without problem and I am wondering if this is a rare pec tear of the sternum?
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears to be the arthritis of the shoulder, or tendinitis of the biceps tendon. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis . I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, mefenamic acid, paracetamol and muscle relaxant cream for local application. Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and and protein rich foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
