What Can Be Done For The Child To Reduce The Fever, Calpol Syrup Is Not Of Much Help?

hi doc... my daughter shez 5 yrs old. she is suffering from fever since last sunday i am giving her calpol 6+ after evry 6 hrs... yesterday temp was 101 maximum .. today at 12 mid nyt suddenly fever shoot at 104... what u guide now.. ..right now temp is 100

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Give calpol every 4 to 6 hourly if fever is above 100F.
Give mefenemic acid if fever is above 102F .
Also do tepid sponging.
Gve plenty of fluids.
In case fever persist after 48hours get him examined by pediatrician for further management.
