What Can Cause Chills While Suffering From Pitting Edema?

I have pittingedema in both ankles feet and calves. They look sunburned and hurt a great deal. It is 90 degrees outside today and I m freezing. I do have SLE and TM, I have seen my internist who suspects my kidneys so my rheumatologist put me on 40 MG of Lasix and some Potassium, I have been on 10 days with no changr

Hi,

Putting edema may be due to cardiac or renal failure. In cellulitis also you may get fever with limb edema. In filariasis also you may get pitting edema. SLE may cause lupus induced nephropathy leading to renal failure.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. avoid sun exposure. Use tablet Paracetamol thrice a day for five days.

If Symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
