What Causes Bruise And Pain In Knees?

I am 33 years old and have suffered for years with painful knees. I have had an xray before which showed nothing. I have noticed if i kneel for any period of time my knees either bruise or red spots (rash like) appear. I have other problems with my back and hips. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes three years ago.

hi,
It could be due to diabetes, your skin looses texture and strength, producing bruises on pressure.
However it is also important to rule out causes of bleeding diathesis, as a result bleeding into skin or joints and connective tissue diseases which commonly accompany type 1 diabetes.
It is ideal to consult a physician and get evaluated.
All the best.
