What Causes A Leg Swelling?

My leg, shin area has felt bruised for the last few days but has had no bruise, but before I looked down an noticed it had swelled but still no bruising. It's quite big an its feeling hotter then the rest if my body. I just want to make sure it's nothing to worry about.

Dear Sir/Mam,
The symptom you are talking about can be due to cellulitis meaning infection in the sub cutaneous tissue of the leg. Usually it is seen in ppl with diabetes and other predisposing conditions. I suggest you get your blood tests to rule out infection. Limb elevation with ice packs will help in reducing the symptoms. Hope this has helped you.
