What Causes A Missed Period With Negative Pregnancy Test?

I had the mirna(birth control) for about 4 months, took it out, had unprotected sex. i missed my period, but I ve take 3 pregnancy test & they all came out negative. I m hungry then usually. i often get cramps, but no blood? could i be pregnant? or did the birth control effect my periods? help!

Thanks for posting your query. In the current scenario, pregnancy is unlikely since you had persistently negative pregnancy tests, provided you used the proper technique. Hormone imbalance is the likely cause since you came off the hormone device. Your symptoms are not specific for pregnancy; an impending period also does the same. Please wait for a week after your expected period ad if you still do not see it, go for further evaluation by an expert. A sonogram of the pelvis will be useful to clarify. Hope this helps.
