What Causes A Missed Period With Negative Pregnancy Test?

I think i might be pregnant. My period is 2 weeks late. I had sex with my boyfriend during the time i was ovulating. I have been really tired, had frequent urination, vaginal discharge, bloody nose, headaches. What do you think? I took a home test a week and a half ago, but it came out negative. However, my mom did not test positive for two months when she was pregnant.
