What Causes Anxiety And Panic Attacks After Consuming Alcohol?

Hi sir.. 20 days back after consuming heavy alocohol and spicy food the next day i got a panic attack along with burps...this was the first time i experrinced something likt it..i went to doc and he suggested to have antianxiety n anti acidity medice which solved my problem for that time...i have stopped binge drinking since then and have cut down smoking to 10 percent...now m on antaacid and sometimes get mild anxiety after food...after food stomach feels like heavy and fulll...pls suggest on this pls...

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Alcohol intake can result in inflammation of the esophagus and stomach causing epigastric distress -alcoholic gastritis,which is relieved with antacids and abstinence.
Many psychiatric syndromes can be seen temporarily during heavy drinking and subsequent withdrawal. These alcohol-induced conditions include temporary severe anxiety in 10–30% of alcoholics.
You need to continue antacids and mild anxiolytic and moderation of alcohol intake,if not total abstinence.
