What Causes Bloating And Stomach Discomfort When Diagnosed With Crohn S Disease?

I have Crohns Disease and have had two surgeries within a year, the last one being in April of 2016. I have had periodic flare-ups since then. I have had constant diarrhea for the past 12 days with nausea. I have no appetite and when I do eat, even a little bit, I get extremely bloated, lots of stomach discomfort and then have diarrhea again, usually in 15-30 minutes. I have not eaten a lot but still have diarrhea every time I use the bathroom. It will even wake me up early in the morning. I also have extreme exhaustion and on some days find it hard to get up. Hello

thank you for trusting HCM

Dear mild swelling and bloating throughout the abdomen can be common in Crohn’s disease and may be affected by diet. However, if you have localized swelling that is painful, you should seek medical care. This can be a sign of an intestinal blockage or significant infection. Swelling that is accompanied by extreme tenderness, fever, or redness of the skin may be due to an abscess, or deep infection. Any of these more serious symptoms require urgent medical attention.

you need to check whether you're in flare up stage or not.you need treatment for it to control bloating and blood in stools. please consult your Gastroentrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

take care
