What Causes Bloating Of Stomach And Constipation?

Hi i have been getting a bad stomach for a while, i get bloated with wind then unable to go to toilet to empty my bowels what can this be, as its uncomfortable and painful at times thank you i do take lansoprazole for hiatus hernia but iv taken these for 15 years plus

This may be caused by hiatal hernia but also lansoprasole may cause such symptoms of constipation as well.
First, you should try with changing lifestyle and dietary habits. You need to increase fiber intake. Good fiber sources include bran and other whole grains found in cereals, breads, and brown rice, vegetables such as brussels sprouts, carrots, and asparagus, Fresh fruits, or dried fruits such as raisins, apricots, and prunes Beans. Also, you should exercise regularly. Moving your body will keep your bowels moving, too. Second, you may at times need to try a laxative sich as glicerine suppositories (also aFleet Phospho-Soda, Milk of Magnesia, or Miralax)
. At the end, if there is no improvement you may need enema. In cases of prolonged constipation, you should do colonoscopy to rule out some other underlying cause.
