What Causes Blood In Stools After Taking Deworming Medication?

Hi. My son is 5 yrs old and last thursday we gave him 10ml Zentel to deworm. Today he had cramps in stomach and passed a stool with red blood streaks and about 2 hrs later again he passed the stool but it was normal now. What could have caused a blood in stool?
Is is serious issue?

zentel does not cause bleeding, your son must have passed hard stools resulting mild mucosal tear of the rectum resulting in streaks of blood. nothing to worry, it is not serious
