What Causes Blood Spots In Urine After Treating UTI?

I am 41 years young. I ovulated sometime between 2.1.14 - 2.3.14 and had unprotected sex that weekend. My period was due yesterday 2.15.14. I have between a 26-27 cycle. I started spotting a couple of days ago with a bit more blood today but mostly when I urinate. I have never had this before. Always had regular cycles. I was recently treated for a uti and a yeast infection. What could be some causes?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Blood in urine is a common symptom of a urinary tract infection.

I suggest to do a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, the treatment consists in antibiotics.

I also recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again.

Kind regards!
