What Causes Bright Red Flakes In Stool While Having IBS?

I just went to the restroom and noticed there was slight blood near my rectum. The past couple days I ve notice bright colored red flakes in my stool. I do have IBS and have had ulcers in the past. I also just had my first child in Oct. of 2011. What could it be?

According to your complain you have problem of blood in stool that may be because of hemorroid or ulcer or other reasons.
Anorectal examination is helpful to detect hemorroid problem.
Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
Colonoscopy can done if needed..
