What Causes Bruise On The Stomach And Abdominal Pain?

last thursday my husband went to the doctor with pain in his stomach, and was given some pain med. yesterday he went for 3 month bloodwork. He has a black bruise about 3 inches long, 2 inches wide on the left side between where the sternum is located and his waist. he was sent for xrays, but no word on what the issue is.

Dear bruising may seen in chronic pressure,vit c deficiency, traumatic blow on chest, seat belt pressure, costocondritis etc..

applying an ice pack to your chest,taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation,limiting your movement and avoiding any heavy lifting.if symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
