What Causes Chest Pain And Severe Fatigue?

Hello. My friend is in her 70s, is having chest pain, and becomes tired very quickly upon exertion. 5mins on exercise bike. Very recently, she could do 30 mins. She has been seen by doctors who tell her it is not her heart, nor is it reflux. They ve told her to stretch her pecs as it could be muscle related. Would this cause the fatigue? I understand how it could cause the chest pain of course. Many thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do ECG, ECHO and TSH test

2)Do a clinical examination by a [rheumatologist]

3)Regarding pain discuss with your doctor about [oxycodone/acetaminophen]

4)Do Stretching exercises. Gentle stretching exercises for the chest muscles may be helpful.

5)Do nerve stimulation. In a procedure called transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), a device sends a weak electrical current via adhesive patches on the skin near the area of pain. The current might interrupt or mask pain signals, preventing them from reaching your brain.

Do take few prevent steps like this -

1)Take over-the-counter non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs pain relievers. Ask your doctor about using ibuprofen.

2)Heat or ice. Try placing hot compresses or a heating pad on the painful area several times a day. Keep the heat on a low setting. Ice also might be helpful.

3)Take rest and try to avoid activities that make your pain worse.

Hope that helps
