What Causes Constant Dull Abdominal Pain With Acid Reflux?

I have constant heatburn or reflux, never had it before i had children, constant dull abdominal pain, was told i have a irritated and inflammed colon, very tired, sometimes shrp pains in the side on left side towards the side and back, I have bouts of colon not pushing things through or not doing it to quickly to where i have diarrhea for days what could it be?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Alternating diarrhea and constipation is suggestive of colon cancer and should be ruled out by a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like colonoscopy, CT scan of the abdomen and tests of blood, stool and urine.
Constant heartburn or reflux can be secondary to distal obstruction as discussed above by cancer. or can be due to lax lower esophageal sphincter and this can be well confirmed by an upper GI Endoscopy and other relevant tests.
Once diagnosed well, management will be as per the findings.
Till then get started with a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone as motility regulator and antacids when you are on empty stomach.

If all the tests are normal then only one can say that you are suffering from IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome and in this case you need a good control of stress and/or anxiety as these are the causative factors.
