Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of having trouble in passing stool as it is not hard but rubbery and there is history of fissures in past, have sometimes to pull the stool manually out, taking fiber supplements and drink lots of water.
The causes can be the way digestion is appearing is absorbing more fluid from the colon hence causes the problem of rubbery stool.
I would advise you the following:
Change from fiber supplements to laxatives like
Cremaffin plus or
Dulcolax, isabgol husk and so on. You have to try one by one and see which one is most effective and to continue accordingly.
Make a list of the goods and beverages that cause
constipation and to stop them altogether.
Sitz bath twice daily in a tub with warm water.
Simply increasing water volume does not help much.
If these measure help, the condition will improve dramatically.
If there is no effect, you may need further investigations of blood, urine and stool, along with
colonoscopy and
CT scan of the abdomen to rule out any lesion or mass in the colon.
