Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi.Is the diagnosis of amebiasis confirmed by the lab report? What medicine did the child receive for that? If this cough and cold is not associated with fast breathing or chest in drawing then it is a possibility that it can be a common cold like episode. Ya but if it is not responding to the local measures then we may need to think of starting antibiotics. If the child has received complete and proper treatment for amoebiasis then you need not worry about it.
