What Causes Deformed Ear In New Born?

my nephew was born last week with one deformed ear, everything else about his health seems ok. there is no family history of anything like this. his mum is so depressed about why it has happened as no dr so far have given us information about the cause?????

Hi.... this could have happened due to an isolated mutation while the baby is in the fetal state. But deformed ear lobe could be an external marker for a probable structural Kidney Disease. I suggest that you get an ultrasound abdomen done, to rule of structural problems in the renal system.
