Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Hi doctor, i hv a quest. that my brother hv high fever for past 3 days and the sysmpton are body pain,diarrhea and loss appetite effect he lost weight too..any comment pls?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A high-grade fever, diarrhea, loss of appetite, these are the symptoms that indicate the infection, and it could be a viral infection or bacterial infection, symptoms can be investigated, routine blood test and urine test, and it will differentiate the condition of bacterial and viral.

Ideally if this is the viral fever then it will take few days for coming around, if the febrile condition is persistence then it has to be tested for bacterial infection Typhoid could be the cause, if the fever is of unknown origin then it demands the several tests and it is much challenging, some hospital admission may be needed.
