What Causes Diarrhea?

My 3 year old son has had diarrhea for over a week. Even in his sleep. Today the diarrhea is very oily. Last night his fever was over 102. I am controlling his temp with tylenol. What could be wrong with him? He had surgery the middle of May for t and a and tubes.

Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. The long lasting diarrhoea episodes with high spikes of fever and mucus in stools can be due to bacterial or amoebic gastroenteritis. So, go for a stool examination and give him a course of ofloxacin-ornidazole along with Zinc supplement such as Syp ZnD or Zinconia and entertogermina for early relief.

Hopefully it will be of help.
Take care
