What Causes Distension Of Stomach After A Car Accident?

I was in a seious car accident on Friday. We hit the vehicle at 80km/h head on. I suffered severe tissue damage and possible broken ribs and a lot of bruising. I have noticed though that my stomach is abnormaly large, particularly for my size. Is this normal? Should i be concerned?

Respected user , hi
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* There are various reasons
- External hematoma
- Stomach distension itself through impact of blunt trauma
- Injury to spleen
- Collection of blood inside abdominal cavity ( Hemoperitoneum )

* Strongly recommended to get an ultrasound examination of abdomen &
pelvis done .

Hope this will help you out .
