What Causes Epilepsy & Seizures?

I'm 14. My mom has been sent to a neurologist to an another town! Please help!?
My mom fell unconscious yesterday and probably hit her head. She actually had a seizure.
She has epilepsy and has had anemia in her childhood.
Her glucose level is 8.7 and she has been experiencing nausea, headache at the back of her head and her tongue feels numb.
They gave her a infusion but she still feels this way.
So she went to the emergency room again and only now I hear that she is being sent to an another town to a neurologist.
I'm really worried.
What could she have?
Could it be serious?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, with the history of epilepsy in child hood, and right now if presented with syncope then this may not be the epilepsy but some other cerebral pathology need to be differentiated, and this could be due to diabetes and hypertension, she may be in need of CT brain and other investigation, hope this information helps, take care.
