What Causes Excessive Burping With Painful Headaches?

My son was recently playing around and forcing himself to burp...you know, swallow lots of air and then letting out a huge, loud burp. Well, on the last one he did he suddenly grabbed his head and started crying out in pain. Can burping bring on a sudden, severely painful headache?

HI...burping cannot cause such painful sudden headaches. If it gets repeated, such sudden intense headache, I suggest you consult your pediatrician regarding this.
