What Causes Facial Numbness, Twitching Of Fingers And Elevated BP?

I have had facial/neck numbness since around 1 a.m., along with twitching of my fingers on the same side (left side). My B/P is elevated, but no other symptoms at all. Normal EKG. No pain, have clear speech, no facial drooping or paralysis. What could this be?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got transient ischemic attack. This condition may be due to temporary decrease in blood flow to brain due to increased BP . This indicate that you can get paralysis ,so advised to keep your BP under control.Low dose aspirin may be of benefit in preventing such attacks. You should also x ray your cervical spine to rule out cervical spondylitis causing similar symptoms. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
