Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

The most likely diagnosis is a harmless virus. These can last for 7-10 days. the most important things to address are hydration and comfort. Decreased appetite is common, but fluids need to be taken in order to avoid dehydration. Tylenol can be given for discomfort. If the symptoms persist beyond 1 week, see your pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Eric Goldstein,
