What Causes Frequent Urination And Prostatic Hyperplasia?

hi ....do the eggs increase the frequent urination?..if not then what kind of food increase it,,,what kind of drugs is good for frequent urination and prostatic hyperplasia ....im 54 years old ,173 cm,60 kgm,i suffer from frequent urination and prostatic hyperplasia .

Hello,

There is no relation to any such food which causes prostatic hyperplasia. Its a condition seen in the elderly people after 50 years of age. Some develop early whereas many develop after 70 or even 80. The normal prostate is 25-30 gm means 60 gm prostate definitely cause a problem. I usually send PSA value(prostatic serum antigen) so that I can rule out Prostate cancer before starting a treatment. If your symptoms are less then only oral medication may help but if your symptoms are very frequent and troubling then surgery should be undertaken.
Talking about the drug I usually prescribe Finasteride 5 mg and Tamsulosin 0.4 mg to be taken during the night.
