What Causes Heavy/fast Breathing In Infants?

hi doc my baby seems to breath very quickly from time to time as if she's hyperventilating.
mom thinks it's because she's hungry and once fed the problem still arises but does not persit. It's as if the has 4-5 very quick breaths and stops and breaths normal for a few minutes and then breaths quickly for a few breaths again..
please help.

Hi, Thanks for asking. In my opinion it is normal for very young infants to have a irregular breathing rates. That is why doctors count breath rates for one full minute for a infant as they have very irregular breathing .I hay be related to her movement discomfort or feeding. There is nothing to worry about this.
I hope i have answered your question.
